Outcomes

Real stories and experiences from the animals and owners I’ve had the privilege of helping.

These outcomes reflect the progress, healing, and improved quality of life that thoughtful rehabilitation and supportive therapies can bring.

Sophie is a gorgeous girl who firmly believes she’s still a young dog at heart.
Golf balls? Absolutely her thing.
Ageing quietly? ......... Not her style
Miss Sophie came to Paw Energetics after injuring her shoulder while chasing golf balls — forgetting, briefly, that she’s meant to be a delicate, dignified older lady. Her dad did all the right things: rest, time and allowing the injury a chance to heal — but despite this, Sophie continued to limp.
That’s when they came to see me.
Sophie wasn’t entirely convinced about laser therapy at first. She approached her sessions with a fair amount of scepticism…, but with a little patience (and some very good treats), she soon came around.
After a couple of weeks of increased laser therapy treatments, Sophie was completely limp-free, and we had reduced the pain and inflammation in her shoulder as well as other parts of her body. From⁹ there, we focused on a structured and supported return to exercise, continuing laser therapy to help strengthen healing and prevent setbacks.
Sophie did incredibly well — and before long, she was back to enjoying her favourite things with her dad, moving comfortably and pain-free.
I did gently suggest that golf balls might not be the best choice for a lady of her age anymore…
But Sophie may have other ideas
Helping pets return to the things they love — safely and comfortably — is what this work is all about
Bridie came to Paw Energetics with a ruptured cruciate ligament and a possible meniscal injury.

As an older lady, surgery was discussed, but she decided it wasn’t the best path for her.

For context, surgical recovery for cruciate repair is usually around 12 weeks, often involving strict rest and a long rehabilitation period. Instead, her owners chose conservative management, supported by laser therapy and a structured rehab plan.

Bridie is an absolute character — full of sass, opinions, and plenty to say. She gave rehab her all. Her mum followed the home plan beautifully, and Bridie came in for regular weekly laser sessions.
Laser therapy played a key role in accelerating healing, reducing pain and inflammation, and supporting safe return to weight bearing during conservative management.

The results spoke for themselves.

Here’s what Bridie’s mum shared
“The vet recommended we try Stacey and the laser treatment. Within two weeks, Bridie was a lot happier, and her pain levels had dropped. A full month later, her movement was amazing — full weight bearing. I can’t recommend Stacey and her treatment enough.”

Today, Bridie is back to doing what she loves — walking the same distances she did pre-injury. She now comes in every 5–6 weeks for maintenance treatments to help keep her comfortable and moving well as she ages.

Staying on top of the little niggles that come with getting older can make a real difference to comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life — and Bridie is a beautiful example of that
